vnc server

i set up a vnc server, in the /etc/sysconfig/vncservers file i have a user and a password, and in system>preferences>Remote Desktop i have it set to not ask me to allow and to always require a password.

As soon as i hit connect on vnc viewer from my windows box and it pops up on this machine "do you want to allow?" if i hit yes it pops without asking for the password.

it also says "unencrypted" at the bottom of the screen on vnc viewer.

is there a config file i am missing? As it stands this not very secure.

did you install another instance of VNC aside from the default one that comes with the OS?

A recent reboot solved the password issue. Although it is still unencrypted
