vmware -v comand not workable ..

Good Morning to all ;

Why this command is not working ?

[root@oel5 ~]# vmware -v
bash: vmware: command not found

OS

# cat /etc/*release
Enterprise Linux Enterprise Linux Server release 5 (Carthage)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5 (Tikanga)

What's the alternative command to know entire details about my virtual machine ?

Thanks in advance ..

It's not in your path...try putting the path name in, such as "/usr/bin/vmware -v", or wherever it is on your system. Again, putting this into Google pulls up lots, such as this as the very first hit..with examples:

Have you tried the VMWare documentation?
