VMware, install

i am your basic noob, im trying to install VMWARE in red hat 8, i d.l the rpm, ran it, now where did everything go?

probably it is in /usr/bin/vmware but i dont know try searching "whereis vmware" or just typing vmware in console may bring the program up the documentation should tell you where it is installed if those dont work and is maybe even where you should go first

First you need to run script to generate a config file for your system it'll ask you questions just provide answers, and when it is done, you can fire up vmware and install whatever OS you are planning on installing on your virtual machine.
