Ask the vmware support. You've got a licence, don't you?

Ouch, that's rather sharp.

I'm running VMWare Workstation 4.52 on a Fedora Core 2 host, and it's quite happy. You get 12 months free access to product updates from VMWare (from date of purchase), so download the latest version before you do anything else.

I've been playing around with vmware for a while now... version 4.5.2 and the best advise I can give you is stick with a configuration that you know has been tested and is well supported.

I have been trying all sorts of "exotic" configurations with SCSI raw disks for ntfs on a linux SuSE host and whatnot... after many a blue screen I can conclude to you that you should keep your configurations practical because the driver support and whatnot is just not there for some situations.

Here is a link to their forums... gl!
