i have 2 nic in my linux on the first one has ISP given static ip on the other i have given another static ip now i have created another two vlan on second nic but i am not able to ping from another two vlan while i am able to ping from primary ip from second nic can any one suggest me.
isp ip
11.11.2..
local lan ip
eth0 is 192.168.1.1
eth0:1 is 192.168.2.1
eth0:2 is 192.168.3.1
i am able to ping 192.168.1.1 but not from 192.168.2.1 and 192.168.3.1
Those are NOT vlan's, just aliased interfaces. If they were vlan's then you'd have associated a vlan tag with with, and the interface names would be in the form "eth0.1" not "eth0:1"
