Virtual PC

Hello all,

First off, I'm new to linux. I installed Fedora Core 6 on my laptop, and love messing around with it. I wanted to try some things out while at work, so I installed Microsoft Virtual PC. I was able to install Fedora completely, but evertime I try to load it, it says "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The virtual machine will reset now." I've tried installing virtual PC on two different computers, and running it with the same problem. Here are their specs:

1st computer:
Dell
Windows XP Pro SP2
P4
2.7 Ghz
512MB RAM

2nd computer:
IBM
Windows XP Pro SP2
P4
3.0 Ghz
1G RAM

I have downloaded the i386_dvd.iso file (I don't need the 64bit with a P4 do I?)

Thanks for your help!

You might try using VMWare Player and a virtual machine generated by easyvmx.com.

Remember that you need enough memory two run two separate os's. What is the min memory for each os? 512MB is questionable at least.

You don't need the 64 bit version.

VMware Player? You can get VMware Server for free as well nowadays. Probably easier than setting up Virtual PC and such..
