Virtual Manager

Hi,

Platform:CentOS 5 Final
Application: virtual Manager (virt-manager)
Virtual Machine: Windows Server 2003 - Standard

Quote:

/dev/cdrom is mounted in a guest domain,\nand so cannot be mounted now.
I'm trying to run the above virtual machine with a mounted cd rom (/dev/cdrom). The virtual machine is unable to run showing the above error message. If I remove the cdrom (component) then the machine will run happily.

If anyone could help me out that would be great.

Kind Regards

Just a thought... is the CDROM already mounted by the host OS? I use VMWare and on occasion there seems to be a little confusion as to who has the CD.

Hi Taylorkh,

I've tried mounting and unmounting the drive.

When I 'mount' the drive, VMM moans that the cdrom is owned by a privileged user. If I 'umount' the drive then it moans about being in a guest account.

Thanks
