I have installed Fedora 10 which runs fine . in addition I also installed Virtual Box from which I want to run a ms windows os. I cannot see how to install the os in virtual box.I was instructed to install DKMS which I did. The cd drive is visible but and i can find the setup files for windows but linux does'nt want to play. Did you run the wizard in virtual box?
Take a look at

It should be very simple. Use the New button which will start a wizard to make a new virtual machine. If you're not sure on configuration, the default is most likely fine. After you've made the machine, go to its configuration and under CD tell it to either mount an ISO or mount your actual CD drive on boot. Then hit start and it works like a regular computer.
