Vim suddenly changed colors to all blue?

l need help getting my shellcolors back in vim.

When I was working in vim working on a shellscript suddenly all the text turned light blue after l pressed a button. l forgot what buttons l pressed but l think it was %s or maybe l'm totally off.

All my shellscripts normally look like this:

in 2003 someone asked the same question
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-colors-86186/
and they resolved it by turning off search
But l already tried turning on and off search.

More information would be helpful. as vim is terminal program and doesn't generally understand buttons. Were you using vim or gvim?

Also, what distro/version, what desktop environment/window manager, and what terminal emulator are you using?

You should be able to re-set the color in your terminal and doing so should fix the problem in Vim.

Open your terminal and go to edit> Preferences> colors
Choose which color you want your text and close the preferences window.

Thanks for posting the fix. Your post may help someone else.

I doubt there's a one of us who hasn't made a syntax error or 200 . . . . .
