Viewing hardware specs

Hi,

I'm trying to complete a worksheet that asks for all my hardware and specs. There are a few things I'm unaware how to do.

(1) How do I check the motherboard? I was in the device manager and found system board but that only provided the bus type... I need to know the manufacturer and chip set.

(2) How can I view the IRQs and I/O addresses for the network adapter? I tried viewing /proc/interrupts but the descriptions of each were unclear. The same goes for the sound adapter, except I need the DMA channel, I/O range and IRQ.

Thanks,
Chris

I've always found lshw to be an extremely good tool to examine some details aobut your hardware. It might not get you everything you want, but it is a good start.
