View my files in windows trough FC2
Hi! I'm totally new in linux World, i just have installed Fedora Core 2 on the same hard disk i have my win xp, i want to know if there is a way i can see and use my mp3, movies and text files in linux without copy them into a CD or floppy disk and taking them in fedora.

I also have a secondary hard disk but it contain only my data like mp3, movies and word, excel and that kind of files, how can i see that disk from fedora?

i assume ur winxp is on ntfs parition? if so, go to install the correct rpm for your kernel version..follow the instructions there, you shold be able to read ntfs partition after doing that..remember to add that mount into fstab

Most likely you can. You have to mount the partition that you want to access from linux. Linux can read and write to fat32 partitions and read-only to ntfs (it can't write data on ntfs volumes).
In konqueror, do a man:mount to learn about this command.
One possible syntax would be:
mount /dev/hdXX /mnt/win_c

where XX is the letter and number corresponding to the partition you want to mount, and win_c is a mount point.

I have another question, i use internet from my win xp, i have an external adsl modem in usb port (xAVi Technologies Corporation, Model Name: 7005Q2 Marconi) and i don't know if i can use it on my fedora, but i also don't know how to configure my system so i can navigate, i have too an internal modem that its a Lucent V90 WildWire modem +ADSL.

Thanks too much for the previous answers.

Unfortunately I dont use adsl (cable, instead) and I cant advise how to do it. But I would be surprised if you can't. Most lilkely its just a matter of configuring correctly.
Basic commands are (as root):
this will give you info on your pci hardware, use the brand chips to search google for linux tutorials/forums.

will list your connectivity information as well as allow some configuration.
