video Nvidia restricted driver/widescreen/UB 8.04

Good afternoon,
I would like to ask for yr. help.. Made a mistake by choosing for widescreendisplay and as a result i cannot reed my screen anymore.I insatlled UB 8.04(Heron)
In safe mode and system repair doesn't help.

Have you tried to install the nVidia driver from the System->administation->Hardware drivers in the safe mode?

If you can do that, you will be using nVidia's own linux-driver, and you should be fine.

Else i don't know how to help you.
