Video Accelerator doesn't support Dual Monitor

I need to install a video accelerator on Ubuntu 12.04. The ONLY problem I'm having is that every time I install it, my dual monitors don't working anymore.

I would just leave it alone and not install it, but I can't play videos from the default player and I can't upload videos to Youtube. My computer already supports OpenGL and everything.

Any suggestions?

what kind of os and video you have? Which driver have you tried?

BenA2013 05-12-2012 10:18 AM

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. I have tried the NVIDIA accelerator graphics driver (version current)[Recommended] and the NVIDIA accelerator graphics driver (post-release updates)[version current-updates] I'm not sure what video I'm using. Can you tell me how to find that out?

To find out which graphics card you use:
Code:

lspci

Not related to the video card at all.

Have you tried to configure your monitors with Nvidia's configuration tool?

I have 64-bit OS. Graphics are: GeForce 8800 GTS 512/PCIe/SSE2 And I will try Nvidia's configuration next! How to I get to the configuration tool

I've gotten both monitors to work now. Everything is fine, expect that the OpenGL stuff doesn't work.
