VGA Not supported

so I just installed Fedora 9 and thinking myself clever, immediately thought I'd see if I could up the resolution.

Of course now I can't see anything, it says VGA not supported, when I try and boot off a CD-ROM in lowres it goes into an installation and then nothing happens, I keep reading about this boot thing where I can enter VGA=789 ... but I don't see at what point of the boot up I am meant to be entering this. Basically I am new and not good without a GUI.

Anyone care to help before I just give up and reinstall. Which would be a bit pathetic...

THanks

Michael

if youre using the lilo boot loader, try to get into rescue mode using the cd and then edit /etc/lilo.conf and paste that line into it

then run

lilo

if no errors pop up, youre good to go
