very newbe question
i know its very stupid question:
i am using fedora core 1 now 2 is out and 3 on its way. what is the different between each release? is it only a new kernel? i mean if i only update my kerenl would that considered to be the next fedora version? do i have to update to the newest version always? thanks |
the new versions come with the most bleeding-edge software packages and technologies...
it's not just the kernel that gets an upgrade... you don't need to upgrade unless the version you are using loses support, or if you want to be on the bleeding-edge... by the way, i believe fedora core 1 isn't supported anymore ('m not sure, i don't use fedora)... |
I would think the packages included would be updated with each release, as well as bugs fixed.

win32sux is right about support.
