Very New To Linux

I am new to Linux. I just downloaded Mandrake 10.0 and all I want to know is how do I get it hooked up to my Network, so I can see my other computers and they can see this one.

Also, when I try to download Samba from the :Install Software", it ask says "Please Insert medium named Installation CD 2 (x86) on device [/dev/hdb]". I do not have a taht cd. Where would I get it.

Hey..

If you're new to linux, it may be better to actually go and buy the distro from a retail store, its cheap, and you get manuals telling you how to do most of the basic stuff, plus its nice :-).. Anyway, failing that.. Download all the ISOs for the CDs using a windows machine, and burn them, that should sort your problem of not having the right discs for installing certain packages.. Once you've got it installed, then you can worry about setting up Samba to communicate with your Windows network (I assume its Windows you're other computers on your network are using?).. Its pretty easy to setup, the config file for it is pretty much self explanitory, any problems with it and your good friend the man pages are likely to help, or failing that a google.. Failing that e-mail me, samba is my friend ahahah.. My address is on here

Cheers,
