Question Verifying Patch Level on Redhat

Relatively new to the world of Linux. Trying to find out how to verify the patch level on Redhat Linux system, specifically for the OS.

Since you mentioned being a newbie I thought you might be asking the wrong question by trying to apply a Windows term to Linux. It important to know that Redhat isn't linux. It's a distribution that packages Linux(the kernel) and other tools (such as GNU, a window manager, etc).

Are you referring to the linux kernel's patch level or the Redhat distribution level?
