Verify a MEPIS-CD from its own bash?
'In the process of installing SimplyMEPIS-CD_8.0.15-rel_32. One of of my image-burning programs is telling me my burns aren't verifying, this may just be an erroneous assessment; everything looks fine and I can get to the Bash without any issues.
I did a little homework and it seems the checksum of the image I got on the harddrive is fine (md5-sum). Is there a good (and not overly involved) way to check the physical CD is alright before I commit the time to an install? A bit more info about my aim and setup here. Thanks guys. |
Hi,
'CdromMd5sumsAfterBurning' Describes some ways to check the validity of a burnt CD, either via the md5sum or via cmp (compare). :hattip: The above link and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links! |
