Ventrilo on Linux for newbs?

Hey looking around this forum i have realized that I'm god awful on computers,

I'm looking for a way for someone to help me get Ventrilo on this notebook. its a eeepc on Linux. Now i don't Understand anything, I mean anything.

Thanks any help is much obliged.

I don't know anything about this software but people will need to know what distribution of linux you are using and probably what kernel. From looking at the website there doesn't appear to be a client version only a server. Here are some links that may help:
