/var/spool/postfix/maildrop lots of files

Hello, I wanted an opinion.

/var/spool/postfix/maildrop directory on one of my virtual servers (CentOS Linux release 7.0.1406 (Core)) has 14000 files. postfix was turned off several months ago.

Files look like this: 165EA1AF2 and 2C3852881 and 438B120C8

Wanted to double-check with linuxquestions:

Do you see any problems in removing?

Thanks.

These are messages stuck in queue.
You can read them to see what they are about, using postcat, e.g.:
Code:
postcat -q 165EA1AF2
If you don't use postfix anymore and the messages are not useful, you can delete them by:
Code:
postsuper -d ALL
Regards
