/var/log/messages filling up space.
 

Hi All,

Hope that somebody will help me out. On one of our log server we have php-syslog-ng installed but as soon as we start syslog-ng it starts sending messages to /var/log/messages.

Please help out to all those are facing the same problem.

ok well why should messages be going into mysql in the first place? what does "filling" mean? are these just unwanted and overly frequent messages or is it actually running out of disk space or such? obviously php-syslog-ng is just a noddy interface, and it's syslog-ng that matters if it's a syslog issue.
