USR 56k PCI Faxmodem Additional Tests

Ran scanmodem on a USR 56k modem
says i need to run additional texts and to
see modem/softmodem.txt

the only problem is
there is no directory named modem
nor a file named SoftModem.txt
(searched for it, nada)

what does softmodem.txt suggest?

Additionally is there any support
for this device? Accoding to linmodems.org
the 3com/ usr internal modems have no
known drivers.

I have a USR 56K Performance Pro Modem model 5610B internal that I currently use with FC2.I had originally installed it to use with my first Linux set up of Red Hat Enterprise 3 WS.The side panel on the box it came in said under "Minimum System Requirements" "Linux (Kernel 2.3 and higher).I have been happy with its performance and it being recognised without any problems enabling a solid link to my ISP.
