using yum to install packgae not on repository

How can I add a package to a repository that isn;t in dag wiers?
Dag has openvpn 2.0.9 but there are some problems with the indtallation plus config as I found on another thread. Their user group advised me to install the latest beta. I have the wget location but I have to use rpm to install it and that's a pain. I'd prefer to use yum and then I can just yum install the package.
Any ideas if I can just add the location to the yum config file?

ANyway, in the meantime I've untarred the file but I don't reallt understand the whole rpm -i stuff. yum is much easier.

yum localinstall <package>.rpm

Type "man yum" for more details on how to use yum. The above should check for dependencies in your repositories. However, if the RPM didn't come from repositories then its possible it has dependencies that aren't available in those either.
