Using Windows XP to boot Fedora Core 1

Hi, I know you would say "Why don't you install GRUB instead" but I would like to learn how to do this, just in case. I have 3 partitions, this is how my boot.ini looks like:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
c:\boot.lnx="Fedora Core 1"

I followed some instructions on this page: http://www.tprthai.net/bootmgr.htm.
So when I did everything but when I choose Fedora Core 1 nothing happens I only get a black screen.

This is how my grub.config looks like:

# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /, eg.
# root (hd0,4)
# kernel /boot/vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda5
# initrd /boot/initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,4)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.4.22-1.2115.nptl)
root (hd0,4)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/1 hdb=ide-scsi rh gb
initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img
title Win2000
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

What seems to be the problem? Thanks for your help!!
