Using USB External DVD rom for boot to install opensuse10

If you can set your bios to boot from the external USB-CD, then yes. I have a 64 bit Foxconnect mobo and it has a boot menu. I have an iomega 64 bit external USB-DVD drive. Upon boot, if I hit escape, then I can boot from and 'external USB-cd drive'... Good luck.

hi there,

thanks for your reply.

i have already sussed that out, and my mobo has a boot menu (F12), but sadly, no usb-device option...

so i just chopped it out of my other comp...

Cheers, Justin
