Using the Kgpg and GNUpg

I like to ask if anyone have use kgpg and gnuph before.

I want to install the encryption in my machine and i chance upon this kgpg while googling. However i'm a bit confuse by some of their details.

"Kgpg is a frontend for GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG)."

What does it mean by the above line? Do i need to download the GnuPG and install first, then the Kgpg before i can use

or after installing Kgpg, i can start using the encryption tool straight away?

Thanks for the help

Your package manager should tell you. If you need gpg, it would be installed as well. From the description, yes, as a front end, you need the backend as well.
