using squidguard with squid to block porn

How can I use squidguard with squid to block porn?
I have had a look at the squidguard site and also at the Shalla site that maintains the lists but I'm not sure how the acl in squid.conf links to squidguard.

Why not just use OpenDNS's Familyshield? Easier to setup and almost impossible for the kids to bypass. Plus no overhead on your system.

I have a proxy server on a dedicated server that needs to block this. It's not family related so much as I don't want people using the proxy for dodgy sites. Can it still be used with squid?
Also, how do you setup what to block?

Also, it#s not just adult sites, I need to block aggressive/racial sites, if anyone tries to access under age sites but I would like to allow .xxx sites, which are apparently approved adult sites.

qlproxy may prove to be helpful for your needs, there is a package for centos5 and 6, although 6 is preffered as it uses ICAP to integrate with Squid.
(CentOS 5 seems to have Squid 2.7 inside). The setup of site block is just uncommenting a category name in policy file - quite easy to do and no need to mess with acls of SquidGuard
