Using My Software

Hello every one, Well two days on LINUX (SUSE) and i'm still with it.I need to load some drivers and when I put in the disc it only shows me whats on them--they will not load. How do I do this?

Chances are good that you can find more up to date drivers on the net, but if you insist on using the ones on your discs:

First (assuming that your drivers are linux compatable), there should be either an installation script that needs to be run or a package file. If your hardware manufacturer provides Linux drivers at all they will usually be in the form of an rpm file, which should do you fine. Just follow directions here if that's the case.

Before you get to deep into it, though, it may be worth it to check if suse has any of your drivers already and simply isn't using them. What are you trying to install?

Unless the Linux drivers are on the disc, the disc is useless. Which mobo?
