Using Libreoffice Calc - Every time I restart the program the columns has changed size
I use libreoffice to maintain a spreadsheet that has 18 sheets of data and tables. I had not unpdated the work for sometime but when i did last week, things went South. After wasting countless hours and wasting reams of paper and ink I realized the problem was the program would on its own resize the columns every time I would restart the program. Then the data no longer fit the margins and it would print two pages per sheet.

I would redo all the sheets saving after every sheet had been corrected but the sizes were not saved.

I don't experience this phenomena, although I could say that any sheets I have are not very large, nor complex.

I'm afraid I don't recognize any question here though. What is your intent? Sharing? Or looking to see if anyone else has seen this behavior?

If it were me, I would try to characterize the problem with a new sheet, and by it up in size and complexity until I could reproduce it regularly. Then I'd consider checking for, and reporting a bug.

It might be worth trying the latest version.

I would like to know if I am the only one that has this problem. I received an updated version of Libreoffice just recently. The problem I would like to get help for is why the program keeps increasing the size of the column every time I open the program. In this spreadsheet all the columns were increased in width. So when you have 18 sheets it means doing hours of corrections. I have been using libreoffice for at least 6 years after having used excel for many years.

I saved the file to an usb stick and plugged it in a Raspberry Pi3 and opened and closed the file with Libreoffice calc about 8 times and the width always stayed the same. On my desktop I use Linux ubuntu 16.04.
