Using LFS with Ubuntu 15.04 binutils error

I started going with Linux from scratch to kinda help me learn some more and something new. I got to part 5.4 before having any issues but i cant seem to get any further. I made ../binutils-build and changed the directory to that but once i try to prepare binutils for compilation i get an error from bash. I have downloaded all the files that it gave me to download and they are currently on a flash drive but i dont know where to put them or anything. Could this be my problem?

Ask a mod to move this to the LFS forum and post the output of the version script, ubuntu can not be used to make an LFS system 'out of the box' you need to make some changes

you should post your topic into the linuxfromscracth form.

Note:Slackware Linux is best for developing LFS system.

You need to provide more detail before anyone can help. List the exact command used and also show the exact error received.

Hi

I would 1st make sure your host is "Compliant" to build lfs.
here http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/.../hostreqs.html
run the script on that page make sure /bin/sh points to "bash" not dash.
dpkg-reconfigure dash
