Using DialUp with Linux

Have just finished about a week with Linux and am pleased. Have got my dsl working with the EVOLUTION program. I have a friend who is also interested in using Linux and I steered him to Ubunto 6.06. He does not have dsl, instead has a dialup service with AT&T Worldnet.

Can he use EVOLUTION with the dialup service? The reason I ask is that I could not recall seeing anything about entering a connection telephone number.

I asked the question too quickly. Shortly after posting, I found "network settings" in System-Administration-Networking. Looks like that will be a good place to start.
