using debian .. how do i get java runtime environment?

hey im usisng debian and i was wondering if anyone using debian knew how to get java runtime environment?

Click on Get Java Software button
There are two types of installation packages. Linux RPM package or Linux self extracting binary file. Download the package that best suits your needs.

Note: Linux RPM (Redhat Package Manager) uses RPM to install the JRE. In order to use this method, you need to have RPM available on your system. Otherwise use the other option.

they don't know about "debian way"
you need to put in your sources.lst
check out
deb woody main non-free
deb unstable main non-free
or this
debian people don't have to fart around with java installers like everyone else
