user vs users when mounting
 

what is the difference between the user and users options when mounting a harddrive (or making fstab)

user means that only the user who mounted it
(or root, of course) can unmount it, whereas
users will let anyone unmount.

But reading "man mount" would have answered
that, too ;) You should really read first, ask later.
