User Privileges to network boot a Linux box

I am writing a Shell/Perl Script to allow user to change the IPaddress of a Linux server. I have written the script and it works as long as i am logged in as root. I need to give the login that i created the ability to over write three files and then preform a network boot of the server. How can i give a user account the same or similar permissions are root? Also, how can I setup my login to execute the script first thing?

a properly configured sudo setup could give you the permissions you need. Or, you could make a suid executable. Goggle for sudo a bit, I'm sure you can learn how to use it without too much trouble.

As for the automatic run of the script, look into the .bashrc or similar file your shell executes on startup.
