User permissions for Supermount and Samba

Ok, I guess I'll give the Newbie-forum a shot for this one:
My standard user account is neither able to share folders through Samba, though this was granted to all users in the KDE Control Center (admin mode). Nor can he play an audio cd using XMMS, upon checking the drive in the CD audio plugin's preferences I get a "permission denied". The drive is mounted using Supermount with the following line in fstab:

/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount dev=/dev/hdc,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,users,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0

Instead of "users" I already tried "user" and "umask=0" - same results. All desired operations work fine with root, so it has to be a permission thing. So far my user account is a member in "audio", "cdrom", "video" and "users", my distro is Debian Sid.

Any suggestions how to get this solved ?
