User Accounts Synch
 

Hi Guys,

I am new to Linux so please forgive me if this email is a bit vague.

I am working with redhat and have 4 application servers. I have created an account on one server but I am unable to login to any other server as it states it does not exist.

Please can someone inform me of how to synch the user accounts so an account can be used with any server - I assume this may have something to do with the LDAP directory but need some help in working this out.

You need an ldap server which stores the user credentials, then you need to make the application servers ldap clients. There is lots of documentation on setting up ldap authentication on the internet, no need to reinvent the wheel here.
