Greetings.

I just installed Mandrake 9.1, because I am fed up with M$ Windoze crashing and hanging.

I've been looking around google and newsgroups, but haven't been able to find any info on setting user permissions, restrictions and such.

What I'm more interested to tackle first is, if it is possible that at user logon, the system asks the user for a new password since root gave that user a generic password to access the system for the first time. Is it possible? where can I find info on how to do it?

The other things I want to tackle later are, setting up a user to use only specific programs, like, emal client, web browser, internet access, news reader, etc., and nothing else.
