useing Linux with newsgroups ( no gui )

I am trying to search newgroups both articals as well as search nzb files from Linux command line, I have hellanzb downloaded, but it seems that everywhere I look I find applications to processes the nzb files, but how do I find them without using a (gui)web-browser.. ?

Very new to the newsgroup deal and everything I do has to be cli only ;x

say I wanted to download my favorite distribution of Linux from a newsgroup... ( Ubuntu )

How would I go about looking for the nzb files using only the cli ? ( lynx maybe ??) idk ??
Google doesnt give me much in the ways of answers on this.

I guess i should also add I have a subscription to newzbin.com but cant seem to search them from cli

This wikipedia article has a list of GUI and non-GUI newsreaders.

slrn is probably the one that I've heard mentioned the most, but I've always used either Pan or Opera on Linux (Opera is good for text newsgroups, but not binary). Both slrn and Tin come with Slackware; that's a pretty good recommendation in my view.
