Use IMAP to Transfer Outlook 2003 files to Linux Evolution

I am moving from XP to Linux. I am running Mandriva Power Pack 2008, I also have Ubuntu loaded. I need my Outlook files. In reading various things it would seem to be the easiest way to transfer all the files (email & email folder, Calendar, and Contacts) is to get an IMAP service and transfer to there and then import from IMAP to Evolution. However, I have no idea how to do this. I need someone that has done it to guide me through from getting IMAP provider to a step by step of what to do next.
Any help is appreciated.

well if you are using exchange you can install the exchange add on for evolution and just connect to your exchange server as normal...
