Use a file in remote server
 
I have a file ( /tmp/my_file.txt) in local server , I have a script as below , it works fine.

for file in /tmp/my_file.txt ; do

...
...

done


Now , if the file ( /tmp/my_file.txt ) is in remote server , can advise what can i do ? thx

Your question is pretty light on the details, but you should only have to mount the remote share to a local directory; at that point, software will treat the remote files as if they were on the same system.

I am not prefer to use mount as I only read the file occasionally not frequently .

may be I explain it more detail , I just would like the use "for file in /tmp/my_file.txt , do .... " , but the file /tmp/my_file.txt is in remote server , can advise how can I read this remote file ? thx
