Unhappy USB Wireless Keyboard with Mint

I have just installed a Technika usb wireless keyboard / mouse on Mint.
the problem I have is as the wireless settings does not boot until the system has booted I need to keep an old keyboard on the floor so I can hit enter to start the boot process.
Is there anyway I can configure startup so it goes directly into boot mode and not stop and ask me how I wish to boot ( boot, safe mode etc)

That should be a BIOS setting. When you turn the computer on, before any of the boot devices are engaged, there should be a message on the screen prompting you to press F2 (or F10 or F12, or ??) to change the system settings.
