USB Thumb Drive Setup

I am hoping someone call help this newbie with a major headache.

I am currently trying to solve the problem of my FC3 machine's inability to mount a usb thumbdrive. Here is what I have tried to date:

1.) Plug in the USB Drive, check dmesg. Results:

usb 1-3: new high speed device using address 2
SCSI subsystem initialized
Initializing USB Mass Storage Driver...
usb 1-3: control timeout on ep0in
scsi0: SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Vendor: LEXAR Model: JUMPDRIVE SECURE Rev: 1000
Type: Direct Access
USB Mass Storage device found at 2
usbcore: registered new driver usb-storage
USB Mass Storage support registered
usb 1-3: control timeout on ep0in

-so on and so forth until it reaches this:

sda: sda1 sda2
Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0. channel 0, id 0, lun 0
usb 1-3 reset high speed USB device using address 2
usb 1-3: control timeout on ep0out
usb 1-3: control timeout on ep0out
usb 1-3: device not accepting address 2, error -110
scsi device offlined - not ready after error recovery: host 0 channel 0 id 0 lun0
SCSI error: <0 0 0 0> return code = 0x70000

2.) I have read through as many manuals and online tutorials as possible, but I have yet to find anything that covers this material.

Please Help!

I have the same problem on FC3 but with my USB printer. I suppose there is some problem with USB 2.0 on FC3. However, I can use the same printer on 2.4 series kernel on slackware and 2.6 series kernel on SuSE 9.1.

usb 1-3: device not accepting address 2, error -110
This is the same error I encountered with my printer setup. Please search for my posts and you might get some leads.
