USB Pendrive Problem

When I try to open pen drive, it shows:

A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")

This is caused by the hal daemon not allowing you to access the device because of a security policy.

GIYF: just google the entire error message - this is the first hit ...

But the following is probably more you:

Put the username into the the plugdev group either editing the /etc/goup file or
Code:
useradd -G plugdev username
It is possible to activate this by running some startup script like udev, hal, but I think you'd better go rebooting the system.
Ciao
edit:
Code:
useradd -g plugdev username
the previous add a user to a non existing group (and create it of course)
