USB on Fedora 8 not working
I'm trying to get a USB recognized on Fedora 8. It is runnig on a VMWare image. I've been reading the threads about mounting with no luck.
#mount /dev/sda1 or anything returns already mounted or /mnt/usb is busy. other devices in /dev/ return that they are not block devices. #lsusb returns 3 devices I think Bus 001 Device 004: looks to be correct but what do I use as a file? |
did you add the USB ports to your virtual host? The VMware i use there is a manual step to make USB available in the VM

Good point, but yes the VM image seems completely happy with the stick. I see it in the status bar and can even disconnect and reconnect it.
