USB mouse in 2.6.3 - HOW?!?!?!

I have the 2.6.3 kernel installed and i can't get my USB mouse working :(

I am running Fedora FC1 on a Shuttle SN45G (nforce2) and the mouse is a MS Intellimouse Explorer v3.

Any ideas at all here as it is VERY annoying!!!

Thanks

I have a similiar problem. I have a logitech cordless mouse keyboard combo (USB) and it works fine with the fedora core 1 kernel, but when I compile my own kernel (even compile the fedora kernel again using the same config) I lose my mouse. I dont get it and am utterly pissed off.

all of these modules seem to load with mine (MDK10,2.6.3):
Code:

usbmouse                5216  0
hid                    53312  0
uhci-hcd              29104  0
usbcore                99132  5 usbmouse,hid,uhci-hcd

looks like you need at least usbcore installed as a module and usbmouse as well

If you want your usb mouse working at boot you should compile HID into the kernel (at least as module).
Hope this helps
Ciao
