Usb modem Etisalat driver problem>


hi ,


I use the redhat linux 5.3 on my pc.

I want to use the usb modem .
I do not know what to do

Can someone tell me how ?

Which distro are you using? This is a common modem and should be handled out the box with most recent distros.

why did u choose Redhat? I think Fedora is better ...it is related to Redhat but simpler and more common..

try the following command
lsusb
and copy/paste the output here
be'zn ellah hanla2y hall

and for now try to install the package usb_modeswitch from the package manager of RHEL or google for it
if you find any problem ask again and i will be glad to help you

I was learning on this distribution


now i am on fedora 16 machine


and usb modem work good

i need to know the steps to make my Etisalat USB modem work in fedora 16

dears,
i need to let my Etisalat usb modem work on fedora 16 any one know how to do that because when i tried to install the embded packages for linux it doesn't work at all
