USB logs

Employer has mandated Redhat Enterprise Linux 6
with a scanner that runs weekly, and reports back to someone
it reports logs from USB flash drives
how can i edit or delete those logs?

What scanner it has and where does it write logs?

You get administrator/root rights, and do as you wish. However, since you don't say what program is being used to log things, to where, it's hard to give details. Also, you are aware that if your employer becomes aware that you're tampering with/deleting logs from THEIR SYSTEMS, they'll probably fire you and (possibly) have you arrested, right? Their systems=their data....you destroy it, they CAN prosecute, if they so desire. And I'll also point out that if they have things being logged, chances are it's not just on your machine, but there are sets of mirrored logs elsewhere that you DON'T know about.

Closed.

This very much sounds like you're trying to by-pass your employers
auditing/security regulations & methods, which places you in the
corner of the bad guys.

Should I have gotten the wrong end of the stick, please contact me
via e-Mail, and I will consider re-opening your post.

Cheers,
Tink
