USB Flash Drive
HI
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10. It doesn't detect my USB flash drive. Suggestions on how to remedy this

what do you mean by doesn't detect?, does it not show up on the desktop?, type sudo fdisk -l in a terminal when the usb drive is plugged in, and post it on here

is it a flash drive, or an externel harddisk?, are you sure you had the flashdrive plugged in when you ran that command?

It is a flash drive, 1GB, and it was plugged in. The drive works in Windows

That drive is a second hdd, 80 GB. formatted it as fat32 so as to write to it from linux. I'm duual booting Win XP.
