USB DSL modem installation
I am running RedHat 7.3 I am trying to install a Fujitsu dsl modem and have obtained a driver in RPM format. However I am not sure how to install this so that I can select it from the add new device option.
Maybe a simple question but one I can't find the answer too!!

Ignore them, go to command prompt as root, cd to where the RPM is and run:
rpm -Uvh filename.rpm
Where filename.rpm is the filename

who is your provider?
Red Hat 7.3 comes with kernel 2.4.18. I strongly suggest upgrading to 2.4.19. The USB support is superb compared with 2.4.19, and chances are your USB modem will work better.

Ignore what?
That's fine for installing the RPM but there's usually a bit more involved than just that when you're trying to get a USB device working in linux.
