Usb Drive Says It Is Full

When i am trying to copy files to my usb drive , i keep getting an error that says

there is not enough space on the destination drive.

but the disk is not full at all .

any ideas to solve the problem.

I am using Fedora 4

i check the sysytems file and i get this error

Dec 14 23:42:34 isrc kernel: audit(1134574954.009:73): avc: denied { getattr } for pid=2548 comm="rpc.mountd" name=/ dev=sda5 ino=1 scontext=system_u:system_r:nfsd_t tcontext=system_ubject_r:dosfs_t tclass=dir

Check what df has to say about it after mounting the drive. The command will tell you how much of the drive is used uin kb and in %.

If df tells you the drive is (almost) full, but you don't see any (or enough) file son it to explain this there may be files in the USB's .Trash directory. YTou should be able to empty it by emptying your trash with the USB drive mounted, but if that fails either tell your desktop browser (Nautilus / Konqueror) to display hidden files and go into .Trash to delete the files or from the command line do 'cd /path/to/USB/.Trash' and 'rm *'.
